Salon Pucci Policies:

Our philosophy at Salon Pucci Animal Grooming And Wellness Spa is to offer a stress free grooming experience for your dog.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are our first priority. We strive to provide your pet with a safe and hygienic grooming experience. Salon Pucci prides itself in the gentle and patient care we provide.

We will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or a level of stress that we think is excessive. In some situations this can include nail trimming.

You, the dog owner, will advise us of any medical, physical, or emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, and pre-existing conditions.

These may include prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections, or skin problems.

If your dog has behavior problems, please let us know. Salon Pucci grooms puppies starting at 6 months of age. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations.

At Salon Pucci we recognize the special bond that our clients share with their pets. We value their health and well being. We understand that your pet has many emotions and we will take into consideration the effect a grooming visit may have on them. Most pets, whilst visiting a grooming salon enjoy their time there and love the attention they receive from their groomers and their happy owners. But we are aware, that some pets, may sometimes suffer from anxiety, nervousness and become a little distressed while visiting a grooming salon. We will nurture and understand your pets feelings and ensure that your pet feels comfortable at all times.

For your dogs comfort, please toilet your dog before you arrive at the shop.

For safety reasons, all dogs are to be leashed before entering and to remain on leash in the shop.

Appointments:

We try to answer every phone call. In the event that we are unable to answer your call, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. Calls received after hours will be returned the next business day. Please note that we require 48 hours notice to cancel your appointment. Without proper notice, there will be a $25.00 fee on your next visit. Saturdays are our most in-demand day. Should you"no-show," or should you forfeit your Saturday appointment due to lateness, we will not be able to book you on Saturdays in the future.

Completion Time:

Every effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly. A typical dog groom can be completed in 4 to 5 hours from the time of your appointment. If your pet has behavioral issues or skin and coat problems, you may be looking at a longer period of time. If you need your dog returned by a certain time, please let us know prior to the groom. We are happy to work with you as much as possible, but repeated calls to check on the readiness of your dog only causes further delay. If you are waiting for your dog, please refrain from allowing your dog to see you, as it will be difficult to finish your dog.

Salon Pucci closes promptly at 5:00 pm. If you are not here by 5:00 pm to pick up your dog there will be a $25.00 "late pick up fee" for the first hour. Any time later than 6:00 pm will be charged as a "boarding fee" for $100.00 an hour.

Senior Pets & Pets with Health Problems:

Once your pet becomes elderly or infirm, they may not accept a lengthy grooming procedure. For their comfort and safety they will be groomed for simple styles. Due to the afore mentioned, we accept new clients 13 years of age and under only.

Difficult Dogs:

The health, safety, care and comfort of your pet are Salon Pucci's primary concerns and purpose. Salon Pucci strives to offer quality professional service for our clients and their pets. Dogs that show a tendency to bite or jump around may be muzzled or attached to a grooming arm for their safety and the groomers' safety. Dogs that cannot be controlled will be sent home and charged for the amount of grooming that has been accomplished.

Salon Pucci reserves the right to refuse service. Pets that are extremely aggressive will NOT be groomed. We encourage any owners with extremely aggressive dogs to seek grooming through a veterinarians office. Salon Pucci reserves the right to raise the price to those who do not disclose the true temperament.

Mat Removal:

If you would like your pet brushed out, de-matting fees start at $25.00 in addition to the cost of the groom. If your pet cannot be humanely de-matted, we will have to shave your pet.

Please keep in mind that a matted coat can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Severe matting promotes heat exhaustion, sores, bacteria, and pain. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles and skin folds trapped and hidden in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process.

As the owner, you are responsible for the condition of your pet's coat and will not hold Salon Pucci responsible for any of these ailments. Regular grooming may help prevent matting.

Blades and scissors are used to achieve their grooming. Although we strive for safety, pets are a moving, dancing, licking, affectionate and hyper client. Just like humans, pets can have unique allergies and reactions to products. Should this happen you will see this within an hour of grooming and need to call us immediately.

Safety:

Safety comes first for everyone during the grooming process, people as well as pets. You must inform the staff at Salon Pucci prior to grooming if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. Owners will be held liable for any bites or any property damage caused by their pets. We will stop the grooming process if we feel your pet's behavior is compromising his safety or the groomers'. Charges may apply.

Pricing:

Pricing varies for each dog and is determined by breed, size, and condition of your pets coat.

Additional charges apply for de-matting, de-shedding, excessive coat, flea and skunk treatments due to the extra time it takes. Additional charges may apply due to the dog’s temperament and behavior during the groom as an extra handler may be necessary.

Payment for service provided by Salon Pucci is due when you pick up your pet.

Veterinary Care:

We make every effort to ensure your pet's grooming is pleasant and safe, however, if your pet becomes ill or if the services of a veterinarian are required, you hereby give Salon Pucci permission to obtain treatment if you are not available to do so and you agree to pay such expenses.

Customer releases Salon Pucci, its agents, officers, sub-contractors, and employees from any and all liabilities, financial and otherwise, for injuries to Customer, Customer's dog, or any other property of Customer, which arise in any way from services and/or products provided by or as a consequence of Customer's association with Salon Pucci including, but not limited to, veterinarian bills.
